MY SKILLS IN MORE DETAIL...

PROP MAKING
My Prop Making skills are quite diverse and varied. I'm happy with working in many different materials including wood, metal, plastic, polystyrene, leather and fabric. I have made many small props as well as larger props such as trees. Most props also require painting which is also a skill I have.

MOULD MAKING AND CASTING
Most of the moulds I have made have been silicone fibre-glass jacket moulds. I quite enjoy mould making as each mould is unique and different which makes me apply my problem solving skills. I can also make two or more part moulds for more complicated shaped items that need to be moulded. I can also make plaster jacket moulds, block pour moulds, negative fibreglass moulds, closed moulds and matrix moulds. With Mould Making comes Casting, so I am able to cast in many materials such as fibreglass, resin, fast cast (and other plastics) and rubber.

COSTUME PROP FABRICATION
The costume props I have made have been made using a variety of different methods and materials. The skills I mainly use to fabricate costume props are leather working, metal working, prepping polyurethane rubber casts and sewing.

SCENIC PAINTING
For scenic painting, I am able to paint to match a model piece. I'm able to use a variety of texture methods, woodgrain and trompe l'oiel techniques. I have also painted quite a few suits of armour which include using polyurethane and metallic paints as well as being able to break the costume down appropriately.
